July 28th 2023, HALIFAX - The Halifax Student Housing Society (HSHS) would like to welcome all new federal cabinet ministers, following the Prime Minister’s announcement earlier this week. 

We are pleased to congratulate the Hon. Sean Fraser on his new role as Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities. We are encouraged by the creation of this new role, and look forward to sharing our concerns about student housing in Halifax and across Nova Scotia. 

We would like to express our thanks to all ministers past and present whose work contributes to improving the availability, affordability, and accessibility of student housing. We look forward to working with our counterparts across the country to advocate for further improvements to student housing, and hope to work with Minister Fraser and his team as we share our vision for how we can better advance student housing in the region.
